ABOUT THE STUDIO
-
Where is Yoga Club Bonaire located?
We are situated in Hato, Bonaire, on the same side of the road as Bamboo Bali Resort. You can find us at Kaya Gebr. N. Debrot 92 Unit D1, directly across from the second entrance of Oasis to the right. Look for small signs on both sides of the road to guide you.
-
Do you provide yoga mats and props?
Yes, we have mats, blocks, cushions, bolsters, and straps available at the studio, and the use is included in the class price.
-
Is there parking available?
Yes, there is parking in front of the studio. During office hours, the two spots next to the two in front of the studio are reserved for Unit D2. You can also park across the street along side the wall.
-
Is the studio air-conditioned?
Yes! We have two AC’s!
-
Do I need to book in advance?/How do I book a class?
Yes, we highly recommend reserving your class ahead of time to ensure your spot, as attendance is limited. You can easily through our website and through the Wix Spaces App. Use the code HXPECH to connect to Yoga Club Bonaire and click on the image you see to enter the App.
Especially when the class is full, you can only reserve a spot on the waiting list through the App!
-
Do you have something to drink?
Yes! We have cool water that is free to take in the fridge and you can also get a coffee (from freshly roasted specialty beans Bonchi Boneiru) or tea, if the teacher can stay longer after class.
-
Do you have a bathroom?
Yes! We have a spacious bathroom with a shower and toilet.
-
Do you sell yogamats?
We sell FLXBL yogamats. These are thin mats that you can place on top of our studio yoga mat. They are light, very soft and have a great grip. The FLXBL consists of two layers, both with their own unique benefits. The bottom layer is made of natural rubber and the upper layer of microfiber.
-
Do you sell other products?
We collaborate with local producers who care about our environment. Some of our organic products are Bloki Habon, Bonchi Boneiru and Joyfull Kitchen. We also sell art from Gabrielle Wilson (also a yoga teacher at the studio) and Sanne van der Heijden (owner of the studio and yoga teacher).
We also have a mini-Library where you can rent a book for $2 for 4 weeks. If you have an Unlimited Membership, you can rent a book for free.

PERSONAL QUESTIONS
-
I’m new to yoga and/or pilates. Can I join?
Of course! Everyone's experience is unique, so please review class descriptions to find what suits you best. If you're looking for a gentle introduction, the Yoga Flow class on Tuesday is perfect for beginners who want to start at a relaxed pace.
-
I’m visiting Bonaire. Can I join just one class?
Yes! Drop-in classes are available, and we love welcoming visitors to our studio.
-
How do I show up?
Please arrive on time, ideally 5-10 minutes before class starts. Refrain from wearing strong scents, large jewelry, or makeup to avoid distractions and protect our props. Leave your shoes outside on the bench and set your phone to airplane mode during class.
-
What should I bring?
Wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement. We provide yoga mats, but you’re welcome to bring your own. A water bottle and a small towel are also recommended. The towel can be used for sweat during a dynamic class or to place over the props (bolsters and cushions) during more calm classes.
-
Can I make pictures/videos of the class?
You can take pictures or make a video, but before you do this, make sure that if someone else is around you and, possibly in the picture/video, they are ok with it. The studio is a safe space and we don't want that our students ever have to worry about this.
If you make a lovely video and everybody agrees, we absolutely love it when you share your experience and tag us in your story, reel or post!
-
What if I am late?
On Bonaire anything can happen, and if you are running late you can still join. We place a sign outside 'Yoga in session', but if you signed up and you still want to join, please knock softly on the door and you are welcome to get on your mat.
-
What if I have a complaint?
Please fill in the contact form with your complaint and experience and we will contact you as soon as possible to see if we have to change something or find another solution.
-
I have an injury/medical condition. Can I still practice?
Please let your teacher know before class. We can help you adapt postures, but always consult your doctor before starting yoga if you have health concerns. You are responsible for going into a pose with awareness and not causing harm to yourself.
PAYMENT
-
What payment methods do you accept?
You can pay online with debit and credit card. For security reasons, your bank may ask you to confirm the payment using 3D Secure. This usually involves a one-time password (OTP) sent via SMS, email, or your banking app. If this confirmation is not completed, the payment will be automatically declined.
If you do not receive a code or are unable to complete the verification, please contact your bank to check whether online payments and 3D Secure are enabled on your card.
